The vapour stream is a device which allows for a wide range of experiments on naked unfrozen protein crystals with the crystal mounted in a conventional cryo-loop. The vapour stream provides an atmosphere of controlled composition and temperature and can be adjusted to keep the the crystal without deterioration for many hours.
